As many of you are working to support your communities, we thought it was a good idea to make sure you had an idea of what the team at OSV has been working on to augment your efforts. While our team of sales and customer service representatives have been handling specific requests and issues from customers at an individual level, we have been aggregating that work more globally and sharing with all customers, parishes and dioceses as well. We have over four dozen activities that have been executed globally or are in some state of execution in the last couple of weeks and that list continues to grow. For simplicity, these can be categorized into three main buckets.
  • Expanded coverage in Our Sunday Visitor, The Priest and The Deacon magazines and respective digital sites
  • Special pamphlet created to help parishioners deal with the subject. Starter packs of 25 each sent to all parishes in the United States and parishes can order more for free. A digital version is available as well.
  • Keeping the Faith daily e-newsletter created and sent to all parishes to share with their community and sent to all consumer contacts at OSV
  • Promotion on books that relate and help
  • Free at-home curriculum resources for families
  • Our authors are reading chapters from their books LIVE that relate during this time on their social pages. We are compiling them on our YouTube channel.
  • Additional materials for existing Online Giving (OLG) customers developed and sent to use to promote the use. This included a digital letter template, bulletin inserts and art of digital bulletins.
  • Expedited processing and promotion for new OLG customers with new customers getting up and running within three days. Smaller churches can take advantage of waived set-up fees and no monthly service charge for the first three months.
  • Enhanced options for envelopes, including business reply options and pre-paid postage options
  • Automatically added language to outside of mailing package to remind parishioners to mail or drop off (if still an option) their donations now more than ever
  • Digital versions of bulletin inserts sent to all customers who may not be able to use their physical copies
  • Created enhanced digital resources in curriculum products and highlighted the ways to access and use those digital resources
  • As Masses are suspended worldwide, The Handy Little Guide to Spiritual Communion was created to help you gain clarity, comfort, and encouragement during this time. Available initially as an ebook.
  • We are offering a free download on How to Make A Spiritual Communion. We also have created a pamphlet of this for sale in packs of 50 for parishes and dioceses.
  • Increased webinar activity for products and services, and other applicable service topics including subjects such as working with families and children during this time led by religious and educational experts
  • Instructions for how to stream Mass sent to all parishes
  • New weekly Keeping the Faith webinar magazine series
  • Program development for post-event readiness
  • The OSV Institute is assisting and supporting parishes, dioceses, grantees, innovators, and the faithful
And most importantly, as we have for a century, we listen to our customers and being connected to over 90% of the parishes in the country helps us develop solutions to the challenges we are hearing and provide those options back to our Church community.
